IIT Palakkad: Assistant Professor Gr. I/II, Data Science (Rolling)
IIT Palakkad has invited applications for Assistant Professor Grade I and II positions in the discipline of Data Science. The advertisement is Rolling Advt. No. IITPKD/R/F/03/2026, dated 9 July 2026. It welcomes Indian nationals (including PIOs and OCIs) and foreign nationals with an established independent research record and commitment to teaching and research.

What you'll do
- Teach courses in the discipline and develop coursework
- Carry out independent, high-quality research in Data Science
- Prepare a teaching plan and a research plan as part of the application
- Contribute to the department as recruitment needs arise in specific areas
Who can apply
- A PhD in the relevant research area, with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree and a consistently good academic record
- Grade I needs at least three years of post-PhD industrial, research or teaching experience
- Grade II is for candidates with less than three years of post-PhD experience
- Unreserved candidates should preferably be under 35 and must not have completed 40 years as on 31 December 2026, with relaxations as per Government of India norms
- Indian nationals (including PIOs and OCIs) and foreign nationals may apply
